the handcraft of leather jackets

our story began here.

ARI's very first piece produced was a pair of leather pants, and from that moment, we’ve had a deep connection to the time, care, and craftsmanship required to create quality leather goods by hand.

At our atelier in Tuscany, talented artisans dedicate their passion, expertise, and patience to every step of the process, investing in each detail until the jacket is complete. It’s a lengthy journey, but the end result is worth it. We recently took a trip to our atelier to give you a behind-the-scenes look at the magic happening there.

The art of leather making is a tradition born out of dedication to craft and beauty, passed down through generations. The skins sourced from the sustainable tanneries throughout Tuscany are widely regarded as the finest on Earth.

The first step is to carefully inspect each skin, selecting only those with a uniform profile to ensure consistency throughout the final piece. While the shade remains even, every jacket retains its own subtle, unique character -- one that grows even more beautiful over time with wear and care.

Each leather chosen is then cut by hand following the patterns we have designed for the specific style.

Every panel of the jacket is shaped one by one — meticulously, slowly, and with precision.

A glimpse into the careful construction process, where the leather maker glues the leather before folding the seam.

The leather is worked slowly and with intent. Every stitch, every detail, is elevated.

Ultimately, the precious skin is transformed:  a garment that fuses comfort, practicality, and just outright cool.
